Mission Statement

The mission of the St. Lucie Public Schools is to ensure all students graduate from safe and caring schools, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and desire to succeed.


St. Lucie Public Schools, in partnership with parents and community, will become premier centers of knowledge that are organized around students and the work provided to them. Our name will be synonymous with the continuous improvement of student achievement and the success of each individual. Our promise is to move from good to great focusing on our core business, the creation of challenging, engaging and satisfying work for each child, every day. This is the St. Lucie Way!

Superintendent's Communication Plan Message

St. Lucie Public Schools Superintendent Genelle Yost shares details about the district's communication plan centered around: Student Academic Excellence and Achievement, High Quality Instruction, Safe and Caring Schools, and Recruitment and Retention of High Quality Staff. With these four core messages serving as the guide for purposeful and productive efforts, students will continue to benefit from a rich and engaging VPK - grade 12 experience.

School Board

School Board meetings are held in the School Board Room on the 2nd Tuesday (regular) and the 4th Tuesday (workshop) of each month at 5:00 p.m.
