Retirement

On your date of hire, you are automatically enrolled into the Florida Retirement System (FRS). FRS offers two retirement plans:

  • FRS Pension Plan
  • FRS Investment Plan
An information packet will be sent to you from FRS within 60 days from your start date. You must enroll in the plan of your choice before the end of the fifth month following your month of hire or you will automatically be placed into the FRS Pension Plan. You can contact the financial advisors at Ernst & Young to assist in making that decision.
