  • Opportunity to work in state-of-the-art labs gaining knowledge in organic chemistry, and biotechnology
  • Agricultural students study animal sciences for careers in veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and equine science
  • Biotechnology includes landscape design, greenhouse production and high tech areas including hydroponics and tissue culture
  • Study of contributions that animals provide to humans (particularly livestock and companion animals), farm equipment, leadership (parliamentary procedures), and on-farm research

  • Health science, health assisting, lifesaving skills, first aid, advanced CPR, and human anatomy
  • Introduction to: Medical terminology, disease control, integration of scientific principles based on anatomy, physiology, and sociology, physical therapy, emergency, and radiation
  • Leads to Emergency Medical Technician through articulated courses
*Marine and Oceanographic Academy (MOA) FPW
  • “School within a workplace” combines formal classes with hands-on research and field opportunities, unparalleled access to world-class scientists, and resources at Harbor Branch Research Facility
  • Learning time in a “real-world” classroom performing senior IB Chemistry, senior IB Biology, and non-IB junior marine environmental studies
  • Nature of science, origins of the oceans, chemical / physical /geological aspects of the marine environment, ecology of sea zones, marine communities, diversity of marine organisms, major marine ecosystems and phyla / divisions, and interrelationship between man and the ocean

  • Basic organization of a veterinary facility, medical hierarchy, job descriptions, legal issues, animal restraint, breed identification, ethics, medical terminology, anatomy and normal physiology of the canine/feline patient, instrumentation, instrument cleaning, surgical pack preparation, sterile techniques, surgical suite etiquette, nursing skills, and pharmacology
