Mission:
Village Green Elementary is St. Lucie County’s only Global Environmental Education Magnet School: a school committed to the concept of “quality education by choice”. Village Green Elementary students are offered a challenging elementary curriculum that is aligned with Florida Sunshine State Standards and delivered through diversified instructional strategies. A highly qualified, nurturing staff and a safe environment promotes the development of the whole child. The Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) local merchants, corporations, and many volunteers contribute to the success of each student.

Village Green Elementary is a center of global environmental studies in partnership with the community, families, and others committed to the preservation of planet Earth. Students are engaged in problem based studies centered on environmental conservation and sustainability while continuously improving student achievement and individual student success. VGE fosters, prepares and empowers youth to become responsible environmental stewards while achieving incredible academic results. Our days are filled with knowledge and wonder, enhancing education beyond traditional means through student centered learning that extends beyond the doors of the schoolhouse. Our school is a place where children experience the true joy of learning that creates life-long learners that value, appreciate and sustain the Earth, its resources and its inhabitants.
