General Questions

Where do I register for the 2022 Summer Summit?

Registration will be posted on the website. Each session has limited space and you must pre-register for the sessions you wish to attend.

Will Attendees receive payment for attending sessions?

Those attending the summit will receive payment for the sessions they attend. Each attendee will receive a stipend of $21/hour. Attendees will also receive in-service points in Frontline for the sessions in which they attend

Do I need to register in Frontline?

No. Once you sign up for the sessions you wish to attend (via the website) you do not need to do anything else. Your Frontline points will be awarded within 2-weeks of the conference.

Will attendance be taken during each session?

Presenters will take attendance for each session. You must be present for the entire session to earn the PD points and payment for that session.

What if I registered for a session but change my mind?

We understand things happen and you may want to change your sessions. If this happens, please contact Jessica Gutierrez with the necessary changes.

Where do I go the day of the summit?

All sessions are going to be held at Ft. Pierce Central High School. 4101 S 25th St, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. More information on parking and entry location can be found here.

What time does the summit start and end?

June 6th is designed for Elementary teachers and June 7th is designed for Secondary Teachers. Each day will start with check-in and registration at 7:45 AM and will end at 3:30 PM.

Is lunch provided to attendees?

Lunch will be on your own from 11:50 AM – 1:00 PM. There will be a select amount of food trucks located at Ft. Pierce Central for your convenience. Feel free to bring your own lunch but note there will not be microwaves available.

How do I know what sessions I registered for?

Before the Summit, you will receive an email with all the sessions for which you are registered. If there is a mistake or you need to make an adjustment, please contact Jessica Gutierrez. You can also pick up a printed schedule of your sessions on the day of the summit.

Can I pick and choose which sessions I attend?

Yes! Every teacher has different needs. We recommend reading the session descriptions in depth before choosing which one’s best fit your needs.

Do I have to be an employee of SLPS to attend the Summit?

This is a teacher educational summit designed by SLPS with our curriculum and policies in mind. If you are not an employee of SLPS and wish to attend the summit, please reach out to Jessica Gutierrez for more information.

If I am not a classroom teacher, can I still register?

Summer Summit was designed with a content focus for classroom teachers. Separate Professional development offerings for non-=instructional and non-classroom teachers will be forthcoming.

Instructions for Parking and Entrance Location

  • Teachers will enter FPCHS via Corba Pride Way and drive to the back of the school where the Auditorium is located.
  • Teachers will enter the campus using the doors located in the bus loop between the Auditorium and Building 2.
  • If assistance is not needed, teachers can report directly to their first session location.
  • Help centers can be found throughout the campus.
