Fingerprinting and Drug Screening

All newly hired employees will undergo a background check as per Florida Statute 1012.32. It is the responsibility of the new employee to pay any associated fees.

Drug Screening

Full time employees – payable at https://stlucie.revtrak.net/Drug-Screening/ by Discover, MasterCard, or Visa.

All Substitute Employees – payable at https://stlucie.revtrak.net/Drug-Screening/ by Discover, MasterCard, or Visa.

All Athletic Coaches – payable at https://stlucie.revtrak.net/Drug-Screening/ by Discover, MasterCard, or Visa.

Fingerprinting - Full Time Employees

Pursuant to Florida Statue 1012.32 background and criminal history checks must be completed and results must be cleared prior to your start date. Results will be received and reported to the Human Resources Department.

Pursuant to Florida Statue 1012.32 background and criminal history checks must be completed and results must be cleared prior to your start date. Results will be received and reported to the Human Resources Department.

Athletic coaches are required to purchase a Photo Badge payable at https://stlucie.revtrak.net/Photo-Badges/ by Discover, MasterCard, or Visa.

Fingerprinting - Charter Schools

Pursuant to Florida Statue 1012.32 background and criminal history checks must be completed and results must be cleared prior to your start date. Results will be received and reported to the Human Resources Department.

To complete the fingerprinting process, you must submit a current valid Government-issued photo ID and your new hire letter to the St. Lucie Public Schools Human Resources Department or via email to slps_backgroundclearance@stlucieschools.org.

Once results have been received and reviewed for eligibility, you will receive an email with a link to schedule your fingerprinting appointment.

Charter School Employees are required to complete a new hire drug screen payable at https://stlucie.revtrak.net/Drug-Screening/ by Discover, Master Card, or Visa.

Fingerprinting - Contractors / Vendors

Pursuant to Florida Statue 1012.32 background and criminal history checks must be completed and results must be cleared prior to your start date. Results will be received and reported to the Human Resources Department.

Contractors must submit a copy of their current valid government-issued photo ID to Human Resources via email to slps_backgroundclearance@stlucieschools.org.

Once the document has been received and reviewed for eligibility, an email will be sent to the Contractor from the SLPS_BackgroundClearance@stlucieschools.org email with a link to schedule their Fingerprinting. Please dress appropriate for photo to be taken at the time of your appointment for your ID Badge.

Fingerprinting - College Students

Pursuant to Florida Statue 1012.32 background and criminal history checks must be completed and results must be cleared prior to beginning your classroom observation. Results will be received and reported to the Human Resources Department.

Students are required to submit via email a copy of a current valid government issued photo ID and a copy of the retention fee payment receipt prior to receiving fingerprint clearance to  slps_backgroundclearance@stlucieschools.org. Once the required documents have been received and reviewed for eligibility, an email will be sent from SLPS_BackgroundClearance@stlucieschools.org to the College Student with a link to schedule their Fingerprinting.

Fingerprinting - Clinicians

Pursuant to Florida Statue 1012.32 background and criminal history checks must be completed and results must be cleared prior to your start date. Results will be received and reported to the Human Resources Department.

Fingerprint payment and appointment scheduling:

  2. Click “Schedule an Appointment”
  3. If you are a new user, create your user name and password. If you are a returning user, use the username and password previously created.

Please pay careful attention to this important information:

  1. The “Reason for Fingerprinting” code will be FPStLucieClinician
  2. Clinicians must enter the contact and demographic information required by the FBI and schedule a fingerprint appointment at the location of their choosing.
  3. At the end of the process, The Clinician should print the Confirmation Page and take it with them to the fingerprint appointment, along with two forms of identification.
  4. If questions or problems arise, they can contact the Fieldprint customer service team at (877) 614-4364 or send an email to SLPS_customerservice@fieldprint.com.
  5. Students must also pay the annual Florida Department of Law Enforcement retention fee payable at https://stlucie.revtrak.net/tek9.asp?pg=products&grp=6 to ensure fingerprints remain active throughout the clinician experience.
  6. ALL clinicians are required to pay a Florida Department of Law Enforcement retention fee payable at https://stlucie.revtrak.net/FDLE-Retention-Fee/ by Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. All fees are non-refundable.

Clinicians are required to email a copy of their current valid government-issued photo ID and a copy of the retention fee payment receipt to slps_backgroundclearance@stlucieschools.org prior to receiving fingerprint clearance.

FAQ

When do I need to be fingerprinted/drug screened?

Once you have been hired for a position, you will receive an email with instructions to schedule your fingerprint/drug screen appointment.

What happens next for newly hired fulltime employees?

Upon receipt of your fingerprint/drug screen results, your principal/administrator will be contacted by Human Resources regarding your start date. You will be notified by your principal/administrator when you are to report to work.

What happens next for newly hired substitute employees?

Upon receipt of your fingerprint/(drug screen results if applicable), you will receive an email regarding completing the Sub-Hub on-line. Once you finish ALL five sections of the Sub-Hub you will need to submit/attach a copy of the Introductory Teacher Training certificate to your on-line application . This certificate shows that all five sections have been completed. You will also be required to print and complete the Acknowledgement form found under the policies section in Sub-Hub and submit/attach it to your on-line application. Once you have finished this process you will receive a notification telling you to contact Lisa Kimbrill at 772-429-7509 or Lisa.Kimbrill@stlucieschools.org to schedule your face to face training for AESOP.
