Have you ever heard someone say that a statistic is valid, but inaccurate? ITS is working on a Data Integrity Project. This project is designed to maintain the correctness and consistency of the data. Many people enter data into a computer system and there are many edits the system performs to assure accuracy. Whether it be student report card grades or a staff members pay check, accuracy of all the data that applies is very important. During this time in the school year, surveys of students and staff are extracted and data is reported to the Department Of Education. This is also known as FTE survey reporting. FTE is one of our main sources of district funding and the data has to be accurate. Part of the Data Integrity Project is to prepare reports and edits to show where the inaccuracies are and how to correct them to get the best reporting of data. ITS always has and will continue to assist all Data Stewards and stakeholders with tools and resources to ensure accuracy of their data.
