Hurricanes and Storms – How to Prepare

We are now in the midst of the hurricane season. Please note the following procedure for preparing your office/classroom be-fore you leave for home prior to the storms:

1. Power off all PCs, Printers and CAVS equipment (also un-plug PC & printer surge protectors) and move off the floor.

2. Don’t cover computers with plastic bags unless told to.

3. If a Category 3 or stronger storm is predicted, move PCs/ Printers away from windows where feasible.
