The Clinical Educator Academy is for teachers that desire to host student teachers.
SLPS TD
The Clinical Educator Academy is for teachers that desire to host student teachers. This course is a blended professional learning opportunity comprised of a self-paced Canvas course and two face-to-face sessions.
Completion of Clinical Educator Academy results in 60 hours of in-service points, and fulfillment of the 20-hour SWD/ESE recertification requirement.
100% attendance is mandatory to earn certification.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION:
- 3 completed years of teaching
- “Effective” or “Highly Effective” ratings on your last two (2) final evaluations
- Principal recommendation

Indian River Stage College
Indian River Stage College offers the Clinical Educator Certification course at no cost to teachers.
Criteria for Participation:
3+ years of teaching experience (beyond Student Teaching Internship)
Effective or highly effective rating (or equivalent)
Teaching on a professional license
Course Details:
Asynchronous, self-paced online format through Google Classroom
Approximately 8 hours to complete, self-paced
