Academic Coach Development

Prerequisites for Aspiring Coach Academy:

• 3 years of teaching experience
• 3 years of effective or highly effective teaching evaluations

Registration is through Frontline,
choose either Cohort1 or Cohort2.

Clinical Educator Academy is for teachers that desire to host student teachers.  This course is a blended professional learning opportunity comprised of a self-paced Canvas course and two face-to-face sessions. Completion of Clinical Educator Academy results in 60 hours of in-service points, and fulfillment of the 20-hour SWD/ESE recertification requirement.

100% attendance is mandatory to earn certification.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION:
3 completed years of teaching, “Effective” or “Highly Effective” ratings on your last two (2) final evaluations and Principal recommendation.

Prerequisites for Clinical Educator:

• 3 years of teaching experience
• 3 years of effective or highly effective teaching evaluations
  
• ESE Growth Mindset Canvas course completed (20 hours)
• Administrator approval is required

Requirements Prior to Being Considered for Coaching Pool

Prerequisites

Any teachers looking to apply for the Coaching Pool, besides needing at least 3 years of successful classroom experience as shown through student data and a Highly Effective or Effective rating and appropriate certifications (Reading- Reading Endorsement or Certification; Math- 5-9 or 6-12) must also complete the following Professional Development opportunities:

• Aspiring Coach Academy prior to applying (any cohort from the 2022-2023 year and beyond)
• Clinical Educator Training within the first year of coaching (any cohort from the 2021-2022 year and beyond)

*both Professional Learning activities are good for 5 years
