20-Hour FL Educational Leadership Standards for Recertification

Educational Leadership or School Principal Requirement for Renewals
Effective July 1, 2024, 6A-4.0051 requires anyone holding Educational Leadership and/or School Principal subject areas to include 20 hours of Florida’s educational leadership standards in-service points as a part of the required 120 points. This impacts those with professional certificates expiring June 30, 2025, and after.

As new offerings become available, information will be posted here and in the OTL Now Newsletter.  If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Slover at (772) 429-3943 or Lisa.Slover@stlucieschools.org.

SLPS TD

The district has created three 10-hour self-paced Canvas courses available beginning July 1, 2024 (links to enroll below).  Each course is 10 hours of in-service points, therefore, TWO courses must be completed to satisfy this 20-hour recertification requirement.

After each course is completed, be sure to download the badge as you will need to submit this to Frontline to add your in-service points.

FDLRS Independent Courses

Each course is 10 in-service points, therefore BOTH courses must be completed to satisfy the 20-hour recertification requirement.  Courses below can be found on the BEESS portal at https://fl-pla.org

  • Building Inclusive Schools – 10 Hours
  • Child Outcomes Summary Process – 10 Hours

Once courses have been completed, follow the process to request in-service points in frontline:  Adding In-Service Points to Frontline
