Certified Mentor Program

This is an excellent opportunity to help build a solid foundation and create a collaborative learning environment for our newest SLPS educators.

Per FLDOE statute, ALL mentors MUST have specialized training in supporting new teachers.  Two types of Certification can be obtained:

Certification Valid for 5 Years

• Mentor Training – 2 hours at the District Office with Stipend
• Online Mentor Training Course – 1 hour via Canvas, NO STIPEND, Only available through September 30th.

Each mentor selected must have completed one of the above certification options within the last 5 years.If this course is not completed within 30 days, mentors WILL NOT be eligible to receive the 60 hours of In-service points in Frontline.

Certification Valid Indefinitely
